Take it slow and have fun with it — there’s nothing here you can get wrong. Follow the walk from outside to the mirror, shoot everything twice, and send us the lot. We do the rest.
Before you shoot (5 minutes)
- Shoot mid-morning with ALL salon lights on — daylight outside, warm inside.
- Wipe the mirrors — the mirror is the star of the finale.
- Clear counters of clutter, cords, bottles you wouldn’t want on a magazine cover.
- Clean your phone’s camera lens (seriously — one shirt wipe).
- Hold the phone vertically (portrait) for everything unless a shot says otherwise.
- Video: 4K if your phone offers it. Move at half the speed that feels natural — slow is cinematic.
- Tap and hold on the screen to lock focus & exposure before each video move.
- Shoot everything twice — second takes are always better.

Inside
-
The reveal Photo
Vertical and horizontal: wide interior from just inside the door — the first thing a guest sees.
-
The glide Video · ~15–20s
Slow, steady walk from the entrance across the floor toward a styling chair — no stops, no pans, just a smooth drift.
-
Details along the way 3–5 Photos
Product shelf, your tools laid out, the wash station — anything with texture and pride.
The chair
-
The chair, waiting Photo
One styling chair straight-on, mirror visible behind it.
-
Sitting down Video · ~6s
Lower the phone toward the seat as if settling in — a gentle drop, point-of-view.
-
From the chair Photo
Seated point-of-view facing back at the room.
The mirror
-
The turn Video · ~8s
From seated in the chair, slowly rotate the phone toward the mirror until the mirror fills the frame.
-
The mirror plate Photo
Straight-on shot of the clean mirror with the chairback at the bottom of the frame. Prop the phone on the chair or a shelf if you can, so no hands show. Don’t worry about your reflection — we digitally replace the mirror glass with your new website, so we just need the frame sharp and well-lit.
⭐ Most important — take 5 of these
Already have gold? 🚁
If you already have drone footage of the building, that’s exactly what we want for the opening arrival moment — send us the raw files and we’ll put them to work. Same goes for any professional interior or staff photos from past shoots.
Nothing needs editing — don’t trim, filter, or clean anything up. Just drop the originals in your folder and send them along raw.
Sending it over
Upload directly here → whitesandsalon.swellstackco.com/upload — just drag your photos and videos onto the page (drone footage and big files welcome). Nothing to install, no links to make.
Prefer a folder? A Google Drive or Dropbox link in your questionnaire works too, or email it to [email protected].
Don’t trim, edit, or filter anything — send it all, raw. We do the magic.
